About this Role:

  • Lead the day-to-day management and growth of a flagship digital platform, delivering on stakeholder expectations and driving user engagement.
  • This role is part of a communications team within an environmental organization, working closely with development partners, comms colleagues, and delivery partners across Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Develop and manage delivery plans, lead steering group meetings, and coordinate timelines, risks, and reporting.
  • Platform Operations: Collaborate with IT partners on maintenance, security, uptime, and performance, managing change requests and quality assurance.
  • User Growth and Engagement: Implement the Communications & Engagement Plan to drive registrations, repeat use, and partner activity.
  • Content and Partnerships: Curate and approve platform content, onboard and support delivery partners to publish high-quality content.
  • Eco-Schools Migration: Plan and deliver a smooth transition of processes and resources into the platform.
  • Budget and Value for Money: Track spend, manage budgets, and produce clear reports for stakeholders.
  • Income Development: Support applications for additional funding, grants, and sponsorships to secure long-term sustainability.
  • Data and Insights: Use analytics to monitor usage, inform decisions, and optimize user journeys.
  • Representation: Act as an ambassador for the platform and organization with partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years' end-to-end project management experience with on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • At least 1 year building and managing multi-stakeholder partnerships and engagement.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; confident using digital tools.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving; able to translate data and research into decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Able to work independently and in a team, remaining calm and effective under pressure.
  • Access to transport to meet partners and attend meetings across Northern Ireland.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
  • Familiarity with analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Knowledge of Northern Ireland's environmental NGO landscape.
