Job Title

The role of Automation Engineer is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for spearheading the implementation of automation solutions to drive process improvements and efficiency.

This exciting opportunity calls for an individual with a strong technical background in electrical or electronic engineering, coupled with substantial experience in the biotechnology industry. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be a team player, and have a proven track record in delivering Emerson DeltaV solutions and PLC/SCADA-based systems.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ISA95 and ISA88 standards, as well as EU Annex 11 and CFR Part 11 regulations. They will also possess strong documentation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to liaise effectively with process engineers to define project scope and deliver on specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing automation solutions to enhance process efficiency.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop functional design specifications.
  • Generating technical inputs into project proposals.
  • Participating in project reviews and sign-offs.
  • Implementing ACPs to make required code changes.

Requirements:

  • Must-Have: Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Chemical Engineering, or a related field with substantial experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience as an Automation Engineer within the biotechnology industry in a regulated GMP environment, delivering Emerson DeltaV solutions (S88 model) and/or high-level expertise in PLC and SCADA based systems including integration.
  • Ability to work closely with several cross-functional disciplines, both within and outside of the function and organization.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of ISA95 and ISA88, CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate thoughts in a clear and concise manner.
