Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Social Care Worker. As a key member of our Multi-Disciplinary Team, you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality care and support to residents with intellectual disabilities, ABI, or Autism. Your primary objective will be to provide practical, physical, and emotional support to meet the individual needs of residents.
Purpose of the Role
This role involves acting as a key worker for assigned residents, providing support with daily plans, individual goals, and education. You will also assist residents with living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and attending appointments. As part of the on-floor duty team, you may be responsible for coordinating shifts and supervising other staff under your direction.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must hold a qualification at Level 7 or above, meeting the criteria for registration as a Social Care Worker with CORU. You should have experience working in a residential, respite, or day service setting with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Knowledge of quality assurance practices, Person Centred Planning, and relevant legislation is essential.
