Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Disability team in Limerick. This is a part-time permanent position that offers a range of benefits, including competitive salary scales, generous annual leave entitlements, and a supportive working environment.

The successful candidate will work with adults with intellectual disabilities and complex needs, including physical, sensory, and learning disabilities. They will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, and Psychologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored occupational therapy programmes for adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Deliver high-quality, outcome-focused care guided by the Individual Support Plan (ISP).
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and goal setting.
  • Maintain professional standards in assessment, documentation, reporting, and service delivery.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in practice and the workplace.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, at least 1 year working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a varied caseload while ensuring high standards of assessment, intervention, and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE policies and HIQA standards.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with adults, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
