Job Title: Experienced Daytime Sous Chef Wanted for Vibrant Coffee Shop in Galway.

A talented and experienced Sous Chef is needed to join a dynamic team in a busy coffee shop in Doughiska, Galway. As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations, lead the team, ensure consistency in food quality, and contribute to menu development. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced and creative food environment with a focus on quality ingredients and innovation.

About the Role:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about fresh, seasonal, and high-quality food. You will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen management, preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to consistently high standards. Supervising and motivating kitchen staff, ensuring smooth service during peak hours, supporting menu planning, and contributing creative ideas for new dishes are also key aspects of the job. Additionally, you will maintain stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper food storage and rotation. Adhering to HACCP, food safety, and hygiene regulations at all times is essential.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up. Experience in a café, bistro, or high-volume casual dining setting is preferred. Strong organisational and leadership skills, a passion for fresh, seasonal, and high-quality food, and ability to work effectively in a busy, team-focused environment are must-haves. You must be currently living in Ireland with the right to work in the Republic of Ireland. Visa sponsorship and relocation packages are not provided.
