Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Limerick.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on refrigeration systems, chillers, cold rooms, and HVAC units.
  • Monitor and maintain environmental conditions in GMP areas.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance in accordance with SOPs and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including maintenance logs, calibration records, and compliance reports.
  • Support validation and qualification activities for temperature-controlled equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Production, and Engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and energy efficiency projects.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in Refrigeration, HVAC, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, food).
  • Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) an advantage.
