Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Thompson Aero Seating Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for delivering innovative design solutions for new concepts and customisation of existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D models of parts and assemblies using strong CAD skills.
  • Produce 2D detail drawings of parts and 2D assembly drawings.
  • Design electrical harness routing and equipment layouts.
  • Release engineering drawings following company procedures.
  • Support prototype hardware build through NPI development.

Requirements:

  • Hold a 3rd-level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Have previous experience in a design and/or engineering role.
  • Possess strong IT skills, including MS Office tools.
