Design Manager Job Description

Role: Design Manager, Location: Cork, Co. Cork, Job Type: Permanent - Full time, Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience.

We are seeking a skilled Design Manager to join our client's growing team in Cork city. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Design Manager to make a real impact in an innovative and dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with clients and keep them updated on project progress.
  • Prepare drawings using CAD, Revit, and BIM Technology.
  • Create high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by architects and designers, making modifications to existing drawings as necessary.
  • Utilize strong knowledge of materials and engineering principles to check the feasibility of manufacture and construction of products.
  • Present working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, manufacture/construction, and installation.
  • Produce installation and manufacturing documentation.
Requirements:
  • Must come from a manufacturing design background with experience in client-facing roles and leading projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in production design.
  • Supervisory experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant qualification.
  • Experience with BIM is desirable but not essential.
