Sustainability Specialist Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic organization and drive the implementation of best practice sustainability initiatives. As a Sustainability Specialist, you will play a key function in maintaining the company's programs in terms of environmental, social and economic responsibility.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Leading the development, execution and monitoring of comprehensive sustainability strategies in alignment with the company's ESG vision, mission and core values.
  2. Partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and implement initiatives that reduce waste, conserve energy and lower carbon emissions across operations.
  3. Overseeing the company's ESG risk assessment through Materiality Analysis, prioritizing the most significant environmental, social and governance issues.
  4. Coordinating Life Cycle Assessments to quantify and reduce the carbon footprint of products and operations.
  5. Leading internal and external assessments, audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with sustainability standards, including EcoVadis and ISO 14064, while partaking in ISO management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
  6. Supporting and organizing community-focused sustainability initiatives, including school-based environmental programs.
  7. Supporting and driving sustainability in the supply chain.
  8. Staying up to date with emerging global ESG reporting frameworks, risk management, CBAM and voluntary standards such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, SBTi and CDP.
  9. Driving ESG awareness and training programs within the company, with customers, suppliers and local community.
  10. Developing a Greenhouse Gas Inventory Management Plan to collect direct and indirect emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3) produced by the company over a year.
  11. Preparing and publishing accurate, compelling and compliant corporate sustainability reports that reflect the company's ongoing environmental and social commitments.
  12. Representing the company in sustainability-related networks, industry forums and conferences to stay informed of new regulations and developments.
