Job Overview

The organization is seeking an experienced Data Protection Professional to support core privacy compliance operations. This includes assisting the Data Protection Officer with implementing a comprehensive privacy program to ensure adherence to relevant global data protection laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deputize for the Data Protection Officer
  • Inform and advise on obligations under global data protection laws
  • Manage risk assessments, including impact assessments and third-party evaluations
  • Handle requests regarding personal data and exercise of rights
  • Support management of supervisory authority requests
  • Maintain records of processing activities and purposes
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure compliance
  • Monitor effectiveness of controls and technologies
  • Assess legal and regulatory changes impacting data protection
  • Act as contact for auditors
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of global data protection laws, including GDPR and financial services requirements
  • 8+ years experience in data protection or related functions, with managing risk assessments
  • Experience advising stakeholders on data protection issues
  • Degree in law, data protection, business, security, or related field preferred; professional certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM preferred
  • Understanding of AI, security concepts, and data protection obligations
  • Knowledge of contractual arrangements and data transfer agreements
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into solutions
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of privacy by design and data ethics principles
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
