The company has partnered exclusively with IT Search to engage a Senior DevOps Engineer to work in a new role with responsibility across DevOps, Development, and System Administration. This role can be fulfilled remotely from anywhere in Ireland or be fully based in the South West region.
This role will suit a Senior DevOps Engineer who has thrived working as a senior team member within a mid-size enterprise, wearing many hats simultaneously and enjoying solving problems.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the existing teams to understand and improve areas such as scalability, ongoing deployment, code quality, and security
- Maintain the operations of critical systems that power our online services
- Plan, execute, and build automated environments
- Manage ongoing monitoring processes using Prometheus
- Coordinate with production support in the diagnosis of and solution to production issues
- Manage a series of ongoing projects leading to continuous improvement alongside various ad-hoc projects as they arise
- Liaise with senior management to suggest, create, and execute performance improvements
Requirements:
- 10 years of post-grad commercial experience
- Exceptional communication skills
- Experience in working with AWS and related tools (Docker, Ansible etc.)
- High level of comfort within a fast-paced production environment
- A background in Java Development will be a huge bonus as this is the tool of choice within the development team
- Ability and desire to work with multiple small teams, switching contexts regularly
- Any exposure to mobile technologies also of interest
