Manufacturing Engineer - Injection Moulding

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our manufacturing site and take on a key role in the production of innovative products.

  • You will be responsible for introducing new products to site, including medical devices and injection moulding processes.
  • Prior experience in medical device and/or injection moulding is essential for this role.
About the Role
  • Responsible for introducing all new products into the company and creating standard specifications for each process.
  • Ensure process optimization using statistical techniques.
  • Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot processing problems.
  • Establish relationships with customers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement and business development.
  • Solve customer-related issues with the quality department.
  • Instruct others on manufacturing-related skills or knowledge and assist in employee training.
  • Coordinate documentation development in line with ISO9001:2000 and ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with external suppliers and provide feedback on issues to the management team.
Key Requirements
  • National Diploma in Engineering (preferably a degree in Plastics Engineering).
  • Min 3 years' experience in the injection moulding industry.
  • Good knowledge of Injection mould tooling and design.
  • Familiarity with Injection Moulding (standard process and Multi component), Processing, Ancillary equipment and automation systems.
  • Experience in Medical, Packaging or technological industries is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Real time monitoring systems is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of experiments (DOE).
  • Knowledge of WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen principles.
  • Proficiency in computer systems; integrated manufacturing systems; word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
