Technical Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled technical leader to join our team and contribute to the development of our Java Core Libraries. As a Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will be responsible for designing and developing tooling and test frameworks for one of the world's most popular and influential development platforms.

You will work closely with other engineering teams to understand new technologies, design, and develop functional tests to ensure the quality of the product. Additionally, you will impact the evolution of the JDK platform and the next generation of testing tools, code analysis, and test infrastructure.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong programming background, ideally in Java or C/C++. Familiarity with Java core libraries and the JDK is also essential. Experience working on Linux/Windows/macOS is required, as well as extensive test and troubleshooting experience. Shell scripting skills are also desirable.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and results-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced team environment. A BS in a technical discipline is required, with an MS desirable. At least 7 years of software engineering experience is necessary.

Beyond the technical requirements, excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Ability to conceive, plan, implement, and collaborate with distributed teams across geographies is also critical. A desire to learn new skills and grow professionally is expected.
