Senior Electrical Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to take technical and operational ownership of complex weighing projects.

This is a hands-on role involving system design, documentation, equipment assembly, FAT/SAT, and on-site commissioning. As part of the Projects Team, you will design, build, and test weighing systems, supervising a workshop team of engineers/technicians and coordinating tasks.

Quality control is paramount, ensuring that systems meet engineering, safety, and compliance standards. You will also be responsible for designing and developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and single-line diagrams for industrial systems.

A detailed understanding of low-voltage system design and implementation is essential, as well as experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks – Electrical drawings. Collaboration with the Projects Manager, Software Team, and Senior Management is central to this role, with frequent interaction with customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for weighing projects
  • Supervise and coordinate a workshop team of engineers/technicians
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards
  • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts
Requirements
  • Third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering (minimum level 8)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Full driving license
  • Eligible to work in Ireland
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

Location & Start Date

The role will be based in Clane, Co. Kildare, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Site work is required on occasion.
