Procurement Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in meeting production schedules, material requirements planning, purchase order management, inventory management and work order management to ensure customer requests are actioned within the time schedule requested.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing process orders, determining process order components, generating lot assignment sheets, purchasing requisitions and ensuring materials are released within agreed timescales. Additionally, they will be required to maintain accurate inventory transactions, quantities and due dates, prepare documentation for the disposal of obsolete or rejected materials, monitor and control inventories of bulk suppliers and finished products, and execute contingency plans when technical or supply issues arise.

Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and internal teams, is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also required to resolve scheduling, logistics, expediting and purchasing problems.

• A relevant qualification in Purchasing/Productions Planning, Diploma in Purchasing or relevant APICS examinations or General Degree with relevant Manufacturing experience
• At least two years experience in production planning in a manufacturing company; preferably previous experience with planning short shelf life products
