Role Overview:
The Site Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of wastewater treatment plant projects in Donegal. The role involves working across multiple sites, located in South Donegal and North Donegal, promoting best practices in health, safety, and environmental management, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with relevant regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular site safety audits, inspections, and toolbox talks to promote a safe working environment
* Establish and maintain accurate daily site diaries, including recording subcontractor attendance, variations, and issues discussed with clients or the project team
* Provide support with setting out works, ensuring the use of correct and accurate methods and techniques
* Perform quality checks in line with company procedures and project requirements
* Supervise and mentor junior engineers on-site, ensuring effective communication between site teams, supervisors, and other departments
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* At least 3 years of proven experience in civil engineering, particularly in wastewater treatment or water infrastructure projects
* Competent in the use of setting out equipment (e.g., Total Station)
* Experience with surveying and CAD techniques, knowledge of current civil engineering, health & safety, and environmental legislation
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities
