We are currently seeking a Senior Radiographer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced professional to work in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working as part of the Radiology Department, providing high-quality MRI services to patients in accordance with professional standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adapting practice accordingly to meet the changing needs of patients and the department.
  • Liaising with consultants and developing individualized view protocols to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Organizing, planning and prioritizing workload according to clinical need, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive and detailed knowledge of diagnostic radiography, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Quality & Audit:
  • Maintaining accurate information systems for clinical data, co-ordinating preventative maintenance schedules and supporting the implementation of initiatives.
  • Participating in weekly huddles, ongoing audits and staff engagement activities to drive quality and improvement.
  • Sharing communications and policy updates through Teams, maintaining up-to-date Teams folders and encouraging staff to report incidents.
Health & Safety:
  • Liaising with the physicist on safety issues and promoting a safe environment for staff and patients.
  • Holding a working knowledge of HIQA Standards, assisting in the development of a checklist for system breakdowns and ensuring hospital policy on hygiene standards is understood by staff.
  • Supporting, promoting and participating in sustainable energy, water and waste initiatives, and being aware of diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) and how they compare to national and local DRLs.
