We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will support the site business through the effective management of an efficient engineering function.

  • Cascade and deliver key business objectives and performance targets for the Maintenance Department.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs in line with budgetary requirements.
  • Provide leadership to the site engineering team - coaching engineers during breakdowns and overseeing time critical repairs.
  • Manage and direct the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance team, including determining needed repairs and improvements, establishing project priorities and assigning work tasks.
  • Plan scheduled work and respond accordingly to unforeseen work activity ensuring the competence of the engineering team to meet these requirements.
  • Best utilize internal and external resource to deal appropriately with situations that occur on site.
  • Manage and advise on third party site contracts communicating appropriately with stakeholders on costs and satisfaction.
  • Improve production facilities and reduce costly breakdown incidents by developing proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Promote initiatives that support employee resources within maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Engineering Management: Manage and direct the site engineering team to ensure the effective delivery of planned and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Maintenance Cost Control: Monitor and control maintenance costs to ensure alignment with budgetary requirements.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and development opportunities to the site engineering team.
  • Project Management: Plan and manage projects to improve production facilities and reduce costly breakdown incidents.
  • Resource Management: Best utilize internal and external resource to deal appropriately with situations that occur on site.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders on costs and satisfaction related to third party site contracts.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years' recent experience within a similar role in a maintenance or engineering environment.
  • Qualifications: Time served or third level qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build, mentor and motivate a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving Skills: Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and cooperation.
