We are seeking a skilled Building Operator to join our team at Employment and Social Development Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including making adjustments and minor repairs to various systems.

Work Setting: Urban area, Office building, Commercial building.

ResponsibilitiesTasks
  • Maintain and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment as needed.
  • Supervise other workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the appearance of the facility.
  • Care for plants, lawns and/or gardens to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the premises.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
