**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microbiology and excellent laboratory skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for a medical scientist to work in a dynamic laboratory environment. You will be responsible for conducting microbiological tests, analyzing data, and contributing to the development of new techniques and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., microbiology, biochemistry, or biology)
- Extensive experience working in a laboratory setting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The initial assignment will be to University Hospital Galway, but you may be required to work in any service area within the vicinity as needed. A panel may be formed for Specialist Medical Scientist, Microbiology, Galway University Hospitals, from which current and future vacancies may be filled.
