Job Opportunity: Warehouse Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our busy hardware and building supplies business in Newcastle West, Co. Limerick.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the yard and stores, handling deliveries, stock, and customer orders safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

  • Loading and offloading deliveries, checking goods on arrival, and ensuring correct storage.
  • Operating forklifts to move and organise materials in the yard and stores.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and assisting with general warehouse duties.
  • Keeping the yard clean, tidy, and free of obstructions to ensure a safe environment.
  • Carrying out routine checks on forklifts and equipment, and complying with all health & safety regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative or similar role;
  • Forklift experience is required, Forklift licence and Manual Handling certification beneficial (training can be provided if required)
  • Full Irish driver's licence essential;
  • Strong organisational and communication skills;
  • Aged 25+ (due to insurance requirements).
