Machinist and Operations Assistant

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Machinist and Operations Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting shift production supervisor, maintaining production efficiency, ensuring product quality and achieving production targets.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in injection moulding, silicone moulding and automated assembly processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Support Production Team: Assist shift production supervisor to keep production running smoothly and ensure that all operations are carried out efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and Improve Processes: Troubleshoot, fine-tune processes and respond to machine breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Quality Control: Ensure product quality meets documented specifications and production targets are achieved.
  • Maintenance and Organisation: Assist with mould changeovers, routine maintenance and process optimisation to reduce downtime.
  • Machine Performance Monitoring: Monitor machine performance, reject levels and material usage to maintain efficiency.
  • Team Communication: Communicate shift objectives clearly to team members and help organise workflow.
  • Safety and Security: Promote and maintain a safe working environment following cleanroom and hygiene regulations.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 1+ years' experience in a similar position.
  • Qualifications: Relevant technical qualification highly desirable but not essential.
  • Skills: Basic understanding of injection moulding, silicone moulding or automated assembly processes desirable.
