Role Summary

Job Title: Surgical Dental Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic surgical nurse to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care in a safe and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting Surgeons: Provide chairside assistance during various surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and support for our dental specialists.
  • Maintaining Comprehensive Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all surgical procedures performed at our clinic to effectively support our team.
  • Aseptic Techniques and Infection Control: Perform and assist others in adhering to proper aseptic techniques, isolation procedures, and infection control measures to ensure a sterile surgical environment.
  • Patient Care: Ensure patients are cared for in an optimum clinical environment, adhering to all nursing and clinical policies and guidelines.
  • Documentation: Record all important information before, during, and after surgical procedures in a professional, legible, and timely manner.
  • Implant Stock Management: Maintain adequate levels of implant stock and forecast the necessary implant components for upcoming surgeries.
  • Surgical Lab Work: Oversee and ensure all surgical lab work is properly managed and completed.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure all surgical equipment is cleaned, sterilized, packaged, and returned correctly after every surgery.
  • Report any inconsistencies with equipment or instruments to the clinical managers or head nurse.
