Lead Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Dublin.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring the clinic team with positivity, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Ensure clear communication across the team through meetings and feedback, while working collaboratively with wider support functions.
  • Clinical: Act as the named person for PAS Accreditation, ensuring compliance with VCI COS regulations. Demonstrate strong clinical judgement, promoting best practice and supporting vets in their professional development.
  • Operational: Work with the Regional Director to develop and deliver the clinics annual business plan. Take responsibility for achieving clinic financial, quality, client, and team engagement targets.
Requirements:
  • MVB or equivalent, with membership of the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
  • Proven experience in both clinical practice and team leadership.
  • Strong surgical expertise and confidence in decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and time management.
  • Financial acumen with an ability to support business planning and clinic performance.

  • Trustworthy with a conscientious work ethic.
  • Strong sense of teamwork alongside the ability to work autonomously.
