Job Overview

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for working within the financial reporting and analysis team to collect and process financial data of the business. This role is fundamental to the financial health and stability of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Accurate recording and reconciliation of expenses and payments
  2. Ensuring all payment amounts and records are accurate
  3. Preparation of statutory accounts and financial reports
  4. Analyzing general ledger and cost center data to identify trends and discrepancies
  5. Planning and budget control, ensuring the company's financial goals are met
  6. Assisting in the preparation of financial data and management reports
  7. Providing support to the Financial Reporting Analyst and FR&A Manager during month-end processes
  8. Responsible for intercompany reconciliations and reporting
  9. Preparing monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations, profit margin, and variance analysis
  10. Assisting with the monthly information reporting pack to the group
  11. Supporting the financial reporting team in their daily tasks and responsibilities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance role
  • Leaving certificate accountancy or Business Related 3rd level Qualification, or commenced a recognised accountancy technician's course (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
