Veterinary Surgeon Position

This is a rare opportunity to join one of Cork's busiest and most advanced 100% small animal referral hospitals as an out-of-hours Veterinary Surgeon. The practice offers a wide range of industry-leading referral services, including CT scanning, radiography, ultrasound, laparoscopy, endoscopy, orthopaedic and spinal surgery, in-house lab diagnostics, 24-hour emergency care, and canine hydrotherapy.

The successful candidate will join a compassionate and experienced team in a hospital that truly values professional excellence and team wellbeing. Many of the vets and nurses hold advanced certificates or specialise in areas of personal interest, and there is strong encouragement for ongoing professional development.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of inpatients, providing timely updates to owners, consulting on emergencies, and confidently handling medical and surgical cases out of hours.

Requirements:

  • VCI registered Veterinary Surgeons with proven experience in emergency medicine or out-of-hours practice.
  • Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure.
