This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team providing rehabilitation services to adults in an acute setting. As a skilled Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing and managing communication disorders, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans to address communication disorders in adult patients.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing, and medical teams to provide comprehensive care.
  • Treatment Planning: Create tailored treatment plans based on patient goals and needs.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Documentation: Keep up-to-date records in accordance with clinical and legal standards.
  • Service Development: Contribute to service development and case conferences.

Requirements:

  • Clinical Qualifications: Degree in Clinical Speech & Language Therapy (or equivalent) and CORU registration as a Speech & Language Therapist.
  • Dysphagia Qualification: Essential qualification in dysphagia management.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
