The Mercantile Group is a dynamic hospitality company seeking a skilled Front Office / Guest Relations Manager to lead our pre-opening team in Dublin City.
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and service-driven individual to oversee all Front Office pre-opening tasks, including recruitment, training, and SOP implementation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all Front Office and Guest Relations operations to ensure a welcoming, efficient, and fun environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of all Front Office pre-opening tasks, including recruitment, training, and SOP implementation.
- Overseeing and managing all Front Office and Guest Relations operations to ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience.
- Supervising check-in/check-out procedures while maintaining the highest service standards.
- Handling guest feedback, actively responding to reviews across all platforms, and implementing service improvement strategies.
- Ensuring smooth coordination of special events, group bookings, and room allocations in collaboration with the Reservations Manager.
- Maintaining strong key control and overseeing guest room security to ensure guest safety.
- Driving upselling initiatives and supporting revenue-generating strategies, working closely with relevant departments.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, legal regulations, and hotel policies.
- Overseeing billing procedures, ensuring all cash handling and credit policies are adhered to.
- Promoting the hotel, its offerings, and local activities to guests, enhancing their overall experience.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years' experience in a senior Front Office or Guest Relations role within a quality hotel environment.
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest service with a strong customer-focused approach.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, engaging demeanour.
- Proficiency in Front Office systems.
- Knowledge of OTA systems is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and adapt to a flexible schedule.
