Paediatric Respiratory Physician Opportunity

Job Summary:

The role involves working as a consultant in paediatric respiratory medicine. The purpose of the role is to reduce extremely long waiting lists for outpatient clinic review and investigations of sleep disordered breathing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reduce waiting times for patients referred for respiratory review and investigation from other specialties.
  • Develop, apply, and review an evidence-based approach to decision-making.
  • Provide leadership and team management skills to manage staff and services effectively.
  • Operate in complex and challenging environments.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Paediatrics.
  • Two years certified postgraduate training in paediatric respiratory medicine.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Clinical fellowship or specialist training in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine.
  • Experience with interventional bronchoscopy and aerodigestive disorders.

Interested candidates should possess excellent clinical skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
