Job Description

As a Staff Nurse - Residents Services, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling lives. You will work closely with the Community Services Managers to develop, implement, and deliver quality customer-focused support to service users.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized programs and activities tailored to meet the needs, choices, and abilities of our service users
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual care programs within an agreed framework and in accordance with best practice
  • Working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for service users

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and provide high-quality focused care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice nursing according to the Code of Professional Conduct as laid down by the Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann (Nursing Midwifery Board Ireland) and Professional Clinical Guidelines
  • Adhere to national, regional, and local Health Service Executive (HSE) guidelines, policies, protocols, and legislation
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RNID Division) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
  • Minimum 1 year's experience working in the area of Intellectual Disability
  • Strong command of English language (both verbally and written)
  • Proficient in IT
  • Valid Irish Driving Licence
