Job Description:
As a Mechanical Equipment Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting Membrane Manufacturing Operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and environmentally responsibly to meet production demands and plant performance metrics.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Management: You will be responsible for managing various equipment such as Powder Transfer Systems, Mix Vessels, Die Extrusion, Membrane Web Handling, Annealing Ovens, Test Machines, Solvent Recovery Units, Thermal Oxidizer's, Heating and Cooling Systems, Chemical Store, Tank Farms, and Wastewater.
  • Line Changeovers: You will produce products that meet specified quality standards.
  • Documentation: You will complete necessary documentation as per cGMP regulations.
  • Preventive Maintenance: You will perform tasks ensuring equipment is maintained to high standards.
  • Troubleshooting: You will resolve operational and membrane equipment issues.
  • Safety Initiatives: You will represent the Maintenance Team in promoting safety practices and maintaining an injury-free workplace.
  • Collaboration: You will work with the Engineering Team across Mechanical, Electrical disciplines, Automation, Calibrations, Facilities, Project, System, and Reliability Engineers, emphasizing performance, teamwork, and personal development.
  • Maintenance Planning: You will utilize SAP Next ERP/CMMS system for consistent work order execution.
  • Capability Enhancement: You will identify areas for improvement, lead technology adoption, and reduce external resource reliance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: You will ensure maintenance activities adhere to regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, IMB, HSA, EPA).
  • OPEX Projects: You will participate in Operational Excellence projects improving equipment reliability, automation, reducing lead-time, and EHS risks.
  • Downtime Reduction: You will focus on minimizing equipment downtime and optimizing machine changeovers.
  • Project Development: You will identify, develop, and implement projects enhancing efficiency, scrap reduction, product quality, cost savings, and safety.
  • Training and Support: You will train new production personnel on relevant equipment and assist with EHS investigations.
  • Shutdown Assistance: You will be available to work weekends during ongoing projects and shutdowns.
