Lead Veterinary Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to fill a leadership position within our 4-day work week program.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a 1 in 4 weekend/bank holiday rota (08:00 - 14:00 Saturday, 11:00 - 14:00 Sunday/Bank Holidays).

This role presents a potential pathway to a permanent Lead Veterinary Nurse position for an exceptional applicant who is capable of providing leadership and direction to the nursing team during a period of maternity leave for the current Practice Manager.

Our practice has a commitment to delivering high-quality, friendly, trusted, and affordable veterinary care within the Dublin area. The team currently comprises 5 veterinary surgeons, 5 qualified and supportive veterinary nurses, and a dedicated animal care assistant.

The clinic fosters a positive and collaborative working environment, equipped with modern medical and surgical facilities, including digital and dental radiography, as well as an in-house laboratory.

We prioritize allocating sufficient time for thorough case management and the development of strong client relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Salary from €38K onwards.
  • Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
  • Participation in a 1:4 weekend/bank holiday on-call rota.
  • A work schedule that integrates both nursing and administrative duties across a 4-day week.
  • Initially a maternity leave cover with a strong possibility of evolving into a permanent Lead Veterinary Nurse position for a suitable candidate.
