Job Description:

The Public Area Cleaner plays a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our public areas. To succeed in this role, you will need to be a motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills.

This position involves working morning, evening, and weekend shifts, with a 35-hour workweek. You will be required to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a professional image at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow Sheraton Brand Standards
  • Participate in Departmental training
  • Work as part of the Accommodation Team and assist with bedrooms as required
  • Ensure cleanliness of public areas
  • Clean guest bedrooms and bathrooms
  • Vacuum rooms and corridors, lifts, stairwells
  • Change and replenish towels and guest amenities in line with company guidelines
  • Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks
  • Dispose of waste accordingly as per company guidelines
  • Follow lost property procedures
  • Check public areas and toilets taking corrective action where necessary
  • Sign-off on completion of duties
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed to ensure the safety of our guests
  • Manage guest requests in a timely and efficient manner

Requirements:

  • Must be flexible, enjoy a challenge, and be able to work outside the comfort zone while maintaining the ability to be objective and positive
  • Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service
  • Must be a team player with the ability to multitask
  • Must be standards driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress within the luxury market
  • Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
