We are currently seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist – Breast Care to join our team at our hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat patients with benign breast disease, breast cancer, and other relevant disorders to deliver the best possible clinical outcomes.
  • Create tailored care plans that address the psychological, emotional, and physical aspects of treatment for each patient.
  • Provide direct clinical care encompassing pre-, intra-, and post-operative treatment to ensure seamless patient experiences.
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt care plans as needed to meet individual requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, surgeons, oncologists, and other medical specialists to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
  • Coordinate patient care across various services, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and psychosocial support, to guarantee a smooth transition throughout treatment.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering suggestions and comments on patient treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Registration in the NMBI's general division of the Register of Nurses is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years' recent post-registration nursing experience working in an acute hospital setting, either full-time or part-time equivalent hours, with experience in oncology or surgery.
  • A recognised academic degree related to the specialty area of oncology nursing/breast care or gynaecology at level 8 post-registration from Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) and the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), or willingness to complete it within one year of starting a post.
  • Possession or pursuit of an ACLS course that is current.
