Key Role:

This role is for a Principal Environmental Scientist/EIA Consultant based in Cork, Ireland. The successful candidate will work with engineers and environmental scientists on large infrastructure projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The position involves project management of various projects, ensuring timely delivery and high technical standards.
  • Liaison with clients, stakeholders, regulators, subcontractors, and internal disciplines is crucial.
  • Preparing proposals and input into bids for multidisciplinary infrastructure projects requires expertise.
  • Managing project teams effectively is essential.
  • Providing technical support and mentoring to junior team members is a vital part of the job.

Requirements:

  • A degree qualified in a relevant science or environmental engineering subject is required.
  • Masters qualified in a relevant specialism is preferred but not essential.
  • Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body is necessary.
  • Relevant post-graduate experience in a consultancy environment is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of planning and environmental legislation, and technical guidance and industry standards are required.
  • Proven track record in technical report writing and project management is expected.
