Financial Assistant Job Overview

The Financial Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with various financial tasks, including preparing group accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring adherence to legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and verifying compliance with legal requirements.
  • Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts, and enter data into accounting software or databases; file hard copies.
  • Park vendor invoices and track bank account balances.
  • Complete VAT/Sales Tax returns.
  • Verify the accuracy of business accounts and alert the CFO of any discrepancies.
  • Manage employee expense claims.
  • Assist the CFO with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAA, and IFRS.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365.
  • Strong office administration background and thoroughness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude with passion, energy, and a strong work ethic.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong team player working collaboratively across all levels.
