Exciting Opportunity for a Construction Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Construction Manager to oversee the construction of a Pharma project in Tipperary.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper and timely construction of the project according to detailed design, control estimates, and specific contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Constructability Reviews and Interactive Planning Sessions with Clients and Design Teams
  • Ensure site construction phase and turnover phase have suitable personnel, plant, tools, temporary facilities, and resources
  • Discharge contractual responsibilities for site construction safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
  • Ensure statutory and legal requirements are observed
  • Develop a best-in-class site enabling plan to support a positive culture from project outset
  • Comply with company's construction methods, procedures, and practices
  • Direct and control staff activities to comply with cost budget requirements
  • Monitor site accounting practices and ensure company procedures are discharged
  • Carry out assessments and appraisals of staff and record results according to company practices
  • Determine needs for staff training and make recommendations accordingly
  • Prepare and submit required reports on Quality Assurance, Quality Control, progress, and costs
  • Coordinate and negotiate with Client representatives on construction matters relative to contract requirements
  • Adhere to company policies for employment of labour and ensure labour relations are dealt with according to labour agreements
Safety Requirements
  • Daily meetings with client representatives
  • Daily meetings with subcontractors
  • Supervise and manage all site staff including construction superintendents, trade supervisors, and subcontractors
  • Manage construction and engineering teams and various subcontractors to work together to complete the project safely, within schedule, and budget
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • Significant years of experience in a similar role
  • API process knowledge
  • Excellent multi-disciplinary knowledge
  • Strong people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Salary: Competitive salary package
