Senior Data Architect Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Architect to spearhead the development of a cutting-edge data platform on AWS. This role requires exceptional technical leadership, vision, and hands-on expertise in designing and implementing reliable, scalable data pipelines and services.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in setting technical direction, championing engineering best practices, and guiding teams to achieve excellence in data management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define roadmaps, set standards, and make informed decisions about tools and technologies.
  • Continuously code in Python/PySpark, design pipelines, and embed CI/CD processes.
  • Lead and mentor engineers, providing expert guidance and reviews.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness, especially around AWS IAM roles and least privilege access.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data models, metadata documentation, and standards.
  • Collaborate closely with global colleagues, communicating designs clearly and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with the AWS data stack: Glue, Airflow/MWAA, Athena, Redshift, RDS, S3.
  • Strong coding skills in Python & PySpark/Pandas & SQL.
  • CI/CD automation expertise: AWS CodePipeline, CloudFormation (infrastructure as code).
  • Architect-level experience: At least 5 years in a senior/lead role.
  • Solid understanding of IAM roles/policies and AWS security best practice.
  • Flexibility to work on-site as required in Dublin (2 days per week).
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
