Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapist

Overview
We are seeking a professional Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapist to join our pioneering neurological rehabilitation and habilitation centre.

About the Role

The role combines direct therapy, programme planning, and multidisciplinary teamwork. You will assess cognitive strengths and needs, design and implement individual therapy plans tailored to each client, deliver therapy 1:1 and in groups, adapt to very low awareness and high support needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess cognitive strengths and needs (attention, memory, executive function, communication)
  • Design and implement individual therapy plans tailored to each client
  • Deliver therapy 1:1 and in groups, adapting to very low awareness and high support needs
  • Provide training and guidance to families and care staff to support carryover of strategies
  • Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, music therapists, learning support specialists, families and care staff
Requirements

CORU registration (OT or SLT), PSI membership (Clinical Psychologist). At least 3 years' post-qualification experience, ideally in neuro-rehabilitation. Demonstrated ability to work with people with severe or complex needs. Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to person-centred practice.
