Junior Quantity Surveyor Job Overview

At our organization, we are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to assist in managing project costs and budgets.

The Junior Quantity Surveyor will work under the supervision of senior quantity surveyors to manage project costs and budgets. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.
  • Support the management and monitoring of project costs to ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Contribute to the procurement process by preparing and reviewing contracts, tender documentation, and subcontractor agreements.
  • Measure, value, and certify works completed on-site.
  • Prepare accurate records including cost reports, valuations, and payment applications.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks, variations, and claims.
  • Support the preparation of final accounts and project close-out documentation.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives.

  • Proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and quantity surveying tools.
