Financial Strategist

The company BARDEN is seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to play a crucial part in taking the business to the next level. This role will suit someone commercially minded, entrepreneurial, with a great energy to bring to the team.
As Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the management team and will be heavily involved in helping to identify and access new business opportunities through M&A. This role will suit a data-savvy finance professional, who can leverage technology to provide best-in-class reporting and value-add information to make a real impact on the decision making and direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for monthly and year-end reporting, investigation of variances, and overall results to assist business performance.
- Continuous improvement initiatives, developing best-in-class reporting & dashboards to enhance the control environment and improve all elements of financial information.
- Responsible for regular commercial reporting to Executive management providing insights that are accurate and timely to support strategic planning and decision making.
- Develop the strategy and process to be rolled out for the assessment and integration of all new acquisitions.
- Take a lead role in the preparation and coordination of the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Contribute towards the strategies for driving revenue growth and cost efficiencies.
- Manage banking relationships, while providing strong balance sheet and working capital management.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE.
- Excellent commercial acumen.
- Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
