
Construction HSEQ Manager

Our client is a construction contractor who have achieved sustained growth across multiple projects. As a result, they are seeking an HSEQ Manager to join their team, helping to drive high standards across project work in Ireland.
The HSEQ Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality management systems across multiple construction projects. This is a senior leadership role, requiring a proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams, clients, and regulatory bodies. Mechanical experience is desirable to support projects involving plant, equipment, and mechanical installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the HSEQ function across all projects.
- Develop and enforce HSEQ policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
- Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Drive a positive safety culture through training, mentoring, and communication.
- Monitor and report on KPIs, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Irish legislation, industry best practices, and ISO standards.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities on HSEQ matters.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HSEQ Manager (construction sector preferred).
- Mechanical engineering or mechanical safety experience highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or Quality Management.
- Strong knowledge of Irish safety legislation and construction industry standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
- Ability to travel to project sites when required.
