Research Chemist Opportunity

Our organization is seeking an accomplished Research Chemist to join our innovative team in Cork City. The successful candidate will be responsible for championing sustainability initiatives, driving the development of the laboratory, and contributing to the creation of new product formulations.

  • This position involves developing new product formulations, conducting research and testing, recording and reporting results, and promoting sustainable practices.
  • You will also be involved in customer trials, tender stages, and ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 quality standards.
  • Additionally, you will support all other laboratory functions within QC, Bacteriological, and Chemical labs, maintain accurate records, and ensure high levels of housekeeping and hygiene.
Requirements:
  • 3rd-level qualification in Chemistry
  • Minimum 3-4 years Industry experience
  • Previous experience working in Detergent Formulations and/or Water Treatment Chemicals
  • Proven experience working in Research and Development
  • Solid core Chemistry skills
  • Working knowledge of ISO 17025 & 9001
  • Experience with Analytical instrumentation such as UV-VIS spectroscopy, Ion Chromatography etc
  • Good IT Skills
  • Fluent English speaker
