Pastry Supervisor Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Pastry Supervisor to join our team at a prestigious resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the supervision of pastry service from various kitchens throughout the resort.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role and possess strong leadership skills with the ability to work as part of a team. A genuine passion for food is essential, as well as qualifications in culinary arts or similar. Extensive knowledge of good food handling, food standards, and presentation is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the service of breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, private dining, and room service
  • Ensure all dishes leaving the different Pastry sections are presented in the correct manner and taste excellent
  • Train and develop personnel within the Pastry section and liaise with personnel regarding the training manual
  • Communicate effectively within the kitchen brigade at all times and inform the relevant Head Chefs of any problems or potential problems
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work as a team
  • A genuine passion for food
  • Qualification in culinary arts, or similar
  • Extensive knowledge of good food handling, food standards, and presentation
