We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker. In this role, you will work closely with individuals who have experienced mental health challenges, providing them with the support and resources they need to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality support services to members of our community, promoting their independence, autonomy, and participation in all aspects of daily life. This may include assisting with daily tasks, developing personalized recovery plans, and facilitating social activities and group programs.

You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, community agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that our members receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality support services to members of our community, promoting their independence, autonomy, and participation in daily life.
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans, working closely with members to identify and achieve their goals.
  • Facilitate social activities and group programs, promoting social interaction, skill-building, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, community agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, ensuring compliance with best practice and organizational policies.
Requirements:
  • A recognized qualification in Social Care, Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services discipline.
  • Experience working in adult mental health, community-based services, or similar settings.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and teamwork skills.
  • An understanding of recovery-oriented and strengths-based approaches.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • A flexible, collaborative approach to supporting people in their recovery.
