About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Support the development of the site's EHSS integrated management system.
- Perform risk assessments and implement risk controls where necessary.
- Increase safety awareness among staff through promotion, training, and collaboration with departmental managers.
- Conduct inspections and internal assessments to detect existing or potential hazards and recommend corrective measures.
- Support EHS projects to completion.
- Assist in accident investigations and incident prevention opportunities.
- Develop and conduct training programs on environmental, health, and safety practices for administrative, manufacturing, laboratory, and outside service personnel.
- Create and update EHS programs and supporting materials as necessary.
Requirements:
- A relevant third-level qualification in Environmental Science or a related field.
- At least two years of career experience, preferably within manufacturing environments, with a preference for Pharma, Med-Dev, and Chemical industries.
- Proven capabilities in all relevant EHS regulations and site environmental and safety management systems.
- Self-motivation, ability to work independently, and excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Compliance mindset regarding company and legal requirements.
