Our Dublin office is seeking an experienced and talented actuary to join our European Actuarial Reporting team.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for analysing technical reserves on multiple valuation bases for a wide range of business lines and geographies. They will develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial models and processes used for reserving, technical provisions, and Standard Formula capital calculations.
- Analysing technical reserves on multiple valuation bases for a wide range of business lines and geographies;
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing actuarial models and processes used for reserving, technical provisions, and Standard Formula capital calculations;
- Producing and developing key indicators monitoring the technical reserves;
- Reviewing and challenging reserving analyses undertaken by actuarial teammates;
- Communicating reserving methods, assumptions, uncertainties, movements and trends to Senior Management;
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A fully qualified actuary;
- At least five years' experience in a General Insurance role;
- Good working knowledge of Solvency II;
- Proficiency in at least one programming language;
- Advanced skills in MS Excel;
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently;
- Strong desire to learn from and share knowledge with teammates.
