Director of Taxation

Lead a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, shaping and expanding the firm's tax capabilities.

The successful candidate will oversee the Tax Compliance and Advisory team, providing strategic, proactive, and innovative tax solutions to clients. They will prepare high-quality tax reports and documentation with minimal input from senior partners, building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development and management of the tax department within the firm.
  • Manage a varied and evolving client portfolio while cultivating new business opportunities.
  • Provide clear and practical advice to clients on tax matters, identifying opportunities to cross-sell professional services.
  • Prepare accurate and timely tax reports and documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and identifying opportunities to expand existing business.
Requirements:
  • ACA / ACCA qualification or equivalent.
  • A background in accounting or law would be advantageous.
  • Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years at a senior managerial level.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge and a track record of identifying and capitalising on client opportunities.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team of tax professionals.
  • A results-driven mindset with strong leadership and initiative skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
