Job Title: ICT Security Analyst (Intermediate)

Key Deliverables:

  • Daily responsibility for and configuration of EDR solutions including following up on any alerts generated.
  • Monitor and analyse network traffic, systems logs and firewall reports to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Implement and manage security measures for Office 365, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Manage vulnerability scans and advise IT team on server hardening processes.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage, including ongoing configuration, scheduling, running of vulnerability scans, and working with the IT team to remediate any vulnerabilities
  • Respond to security incidents and provide detailed reports on findings.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Carrying out threat-hunting exercises as may be required.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols and procedures to protect information systems and data.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches.
  • Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
  • Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures to prevent cyberattacks.

Requirements

The following Experience/Competencies/Skillsets are applicable to this Role.

  • Proven experience as a Security Analyst or in a similar role with relevant experience in the above-listed tasks in a Microsoft environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365 security features and compliance.
  • Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience with vulnerability management platforms.
  • Experience with firewalls.
  • Experience with EDR technologies.
  • Experience with standard security tools and applications.
  • Experience in carrying out security assessments or penetration testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
