Job Title: Mechanical Estimator Specialist

About the Role:

This position is a key member of our Preconstruction & Estimation team. As an M&E Estimator, you will be responsible for managing workload to meet deadlines while working independently and collaboratively with project managers and engineers.

  • Analyse project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work required for mechanical systems.
  • Prepare accurate estimates of the cost of materials, labour, and equipment needed for mechanical systems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop value engineering ideas to optimise costs and project schedule.
  • Coordinate with other traders to ensure accurate integration of all systems.
  • Evaluate change orders and provide estimates for changes in scope of work.
Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical estimating. You must have strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
